Christa Sommer-Sprenger advises and represents clients mainly in the fields of corporate, commercial, employment, insolvency, and all kinds of contract law, as well as related domestic and cross-border court litigation and arbitration.

She gained especially in-depth knowledge in litigation proceedings, also due to her work experience with the Swiss Federal Supreme Court and with various cantonal judicial authorities.


Christa Sommer-Sprenger has recently acted as legal counsel to:

  • a defendant in a series of liability claims brought by the liquidator in connection with the bankruptcy of one of the largest Swiss groups of companies;

  • a Swiss bank with regard to employment law and various compliance and legal aspects, including litigation proceedings;

  • an Austrian Company in an arbitration proceeding concerning a damages claim related to a failed acquisition;

  • a Swiss industrial company faced with numerous lawsuits brought by the minority shareholder pertaining to requests for information, challenges against resolutions of the general meeting, and a request for dissolution;

  • a leading European luxury car manufacturer in disputes related to distribution agreements and in court proceedings before the Swiss Federal Supreme Court regarding competition law.
